Sarah Salvadore

Sarah Salvadore is a data investigative journalist and editor. She is a 2016 alumna of Columbia Journalism School, Columbia University, New York. Sarah was part of the first cohort practicing data driven journalism. While at Columbia, she specialized in Gender Migration and Campaign Finance. After graduating, she worked as a fellow at the Global Migration Project where she reported extensively on women and children fleeing violence in Central America’s
Northern Triangle.

Before coming to Columbia, Sarah worked for the Times of India in Kolkata and Hyderabad. While there, she wrote on gender issues, rural economy and lifestyle.

In 2019, Sarah received a Masters degree in Religion and Conflict at the Institute of Judaeo-Christian Studies in Seton Hall University. She specialized in Judaism, Christianity and Islam - examining theological, textual and cultural fallacies and assumptions that result in religious bigotry, animosity, negative images and conflict. Through her research work, she addressed complex religious, ethical and social issues, and looked at solutions for peace building.

She worked with the National Catholic Reporter for a year, writing on the intersection of religion with immigration, politics, gender
and other issues.  

Sarah is currently with Patch, NJ, covering the towns of Princeton, Lawrenceville, East Windsor, South Brunswick, East Brunswick and Edison-Metuchen.
